If I know anything in this world it's that when you're building a hot rod, it helps to see pictures of other hot rods getting built. With that I'd like to throw a few pics up. I don't really refer to it as a rat rod, but I also don't give a **** anyway. Build total so far is around 9,500$ which aint that much when you think about it. It's getting painted either sage pearl or lavender with white tuck n roll. Enjoy
Lots of rusty **** needs to be replaced but its a coupe....
Bones and such..
Shock mounts..
Gotta bend em to fit...
Bendin spindles and hookin stuff up..
Finally the body can go on..
Doors and such...
Test the frame fit before skinning..
cuttin and replacin
Got it z'd in the back 16"
Mocked up some ****..
Started rebuilding body with a bunch of other bodies..
Building a frame..
40 backing plates and drilled the axle...
Buick Drums with hubs from wilson welding
Mocked up with 36 chrysler wheels...
frame for the trunklid..
Cut 2" outta the shell
Piece of advice, if you wanna mount a 59-62 Caddy motor...aftermarket Hemi mounts fit perfect.
Stance is comin together..
Starting the chop with roof off the car, for strength and framing reasons....
Drove it on my wedding day!
I forgot about this thread! Sorry guys, someone mentioned that they were waiting for an update so here it is:)
Had to mess with the dash to get it to sit right..
Getting the roof together:
Had to bust out the Ewheel:
Not using the original header because Im not usin og wood.
Took 6" out..
Rolled it outside to see how it looks...
Oh the dash is out of a 53 ford. This is where it's at. I'll update from time to time and post a vid when she runs. thanks!
Used the old fender braces to make headlight mounts:

Got the caddy cleaned up and ready to go:
Gotta get a floor:
