i bought this car for 1 hundred bucks it had been dragged down the paddock on its roof and was sitting right way up in a pretty dry area a 39 sedan with a 36 sedan next to it
the blocks of wood and clamps are to hold the sides straight .the green pieces are off the 39 sedan ,note the quater windows are longer and lower
this is the last pic of the rust removal section
ive been putting the new edge around the wheel arch made from a right angle shaped in the shrinker stretcher;best thing since sliced bread.thought i would need a bead roller too so i set about organising some parts
the only section of the original car i kept was the section around the boot .the next img is the new lip at top of boot lid
this was made from1`2 cold rolled folded at right angle shaped in shrinker stretcher welded in place then the lip on edge turned by hand
rear pan i thought would be easier in two pieces also bottom of left guard
heres the stone tray finished, the number plate lights are in the upper edge of the recess
used quarter windows from 39 sedan, when moved forward it cants the pillar forward
firewall was pretty second hand so i made new pillars and sides.
gooday all ive cut 45 ml off the rear guards and put 90ml on ,the edges were rusty where they bolt on and i wanted to widen them 45 ml
time and tide waits for no one ,had the nose to the grind stone
.
i moved the rear half of the bulge foward ,it fits the top wishbone lovely
this would be a bit hard to sleep under ,but shore looks like a patch work quilt
got a running board finished off this week .its got better curves than my wife
should have built the whole car out of this stuff 2ml thick ,you can really lay a weld in.i set the motor back the full depth of the firewall theres plenty of room inside, just move the seat back a bit more
i thought i had better put the body number in just to keep it original
Proximamente la segunda parte... fuente:
